Light

Bright, indirect light is best. East or west-facing windows are ideal.
Avoid harsh direct sun—it can scorch the leaves.

Watering

Water once a week, allowing the potting medium to dry out slightly between waterings.
In warmer months, you may need to water every 5–7 days; less often in cooler months.
Never let the roots sit in water—good drainage is key.
Use room-temperature water, preferably filtered or rainwater.

Temperature & Humidity

Ideal temperature: 65–75°F (18–24°C).
Likes **moderate to high humidity**—aim for 50–70%.
Avoid cold drafts and sudden temperature changes.

Feeding

Use a balanced orchid fertilizer (20-20-20 or similar), diluted to half-strength.
Feed every 2 weeks during active growth; once a month in winter.

Repotting

Repot every 1–2 years, ideally after blooming.
Use a bark-based orchid mix (not regular potting soil).
Trim away any dead or mushy roots during repotting.

After Bloom Care

Once flowers drop, don’t cut the spike right away. You can:

Trim to just above a node to encourage a possible new bloom from that spike.
Or cut it back to the base if the spike dries out completely.
